GCIC was established in Houston, Texas 1997. The Houston office and warehouse has an ignition repair shop, a starter repair shop and field service capabilities.

February 2000 a second facility was added in Corpus Christi, Texas, complete with an ignition repair shop, a governor repair shop, field service capabilities, as well as our available product lines.

January 2001, the Odessa, Texas facility was added to serve West Texas and Southeastern New Mexico, complete with an ignition repair shop, a governor repair shop, a starter repair shop, field service capabilities, as well as our available product lines.

June 2005, the assets of Engine Controls, Inc. in Longview were acquired. June 2008 the Longview office, shop and warehouse moved to a larger facility in Kilgore, Texas to meet the growing needs in the area. This facility includes a governor repair shop and field service.

March 2006 a Fort Worth, Texas facility was added. This facility includes field service operations.

June 2007, a facility was opened near Oklahoma City, Oklahoma providing parts, ignition repair, and service capabilities to Oklahoma and the Texas Panhandle.

The latest branch addition, Fort Smith, Arkansas, was added in June 2008 complete with an office, warehouse and service capabilities.

GCIC is now seven branches strong.
